Tension as Israel launches ‘preemptive strike’ on Iran, declares nationwide emergency

Israel has carried out what officials described as a “preemptive strike” against Iran early Saturday, prompting authorities to declare a nationwide state of emergency amid fears of retaliation.
Defence Minister Israel Katz confirmed the military action, stating that the strike targeted Iranian assets. He did not immediately disclose further operational details.
Following the operation, the Israeli government imposed emergency measures across the country, citing concerns that Iran could respond with drone attacks or ballistic missile strikes.

Security agencies were reportedly placed on high alert, while residents were urged to follow safety guidelines and remain vigilant.
