Atiku, Makinde hold closed-door meeting with Babangida

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde have held a private meeting with former military president, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (retd.), at his Uphill Residence in Minna, Niger State.
The high-profile meeting, which took place behind closed doors, has drawn attention due to the political stature of the personalities involved and the potential implications for Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
Atiku arrived in Minna at about 1:30 p.m. on Monday and proceeded straight from the airport to Babangida’s residence, where discussions were already scheduled to take place.
He was later joined by Governor Makinde around 2:10 p.m., after which both leaders went inside for the private talks.

While the agenda of the meeting has not been officially disclosed, observers believe the discussions may be connected to ongoing political consultations and strategic alignments ahead of future elections.
Babangida, a key figure in Nigeria’s political history, is often regarded as an influential voice whose counsel is sought by major political actors across party lines.
