Renowned Islamic Scholar, Rigi-Rigi passes away

The Islamic community in Zaria and beyond is mourning the loss of respected scholar Sheikh Khalifa Usman Idris, widely known as Rigi-Rigi, who has passed away.
The news of his death was confirmed on Monday morning by his son-in-law, Malama Abubakar Ɗanyaro.
According to Ɗanyaro, the revered cleric died on Sunday night at a private hospital in Kaduna after battling health challenges.
The funeral prayer is scheduled to take place on Monday after Asr prayer at Rigi-Rigi’s residence in the Kusfa area of Zaria, he added.

Before being transferred to the private hospital in Barnawa, Kaduna, the cleric had been receiving treatment at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.
Rigi-Rigi was widely known for his humorous preaching style, with videos of his sermons circulating extensively and gaining popularity on social media.
