Arab, Islamic states hold emergency meeting in Qatar after Israeli strike

Arab and Islamic states convened an emergency meeting in Qatar on Monday in response to Israel’s air strike on Hamas leaders in Doha last week.
A draft resolution, seen by Reuters, condemns Israel’s actions as “hostile acts including genocide, ethnic cleansing and starvation,” warning that such measures undermine “prospects of peace and coexistence.” Israel has firmly rejected the accusations.
Analysts note that while the resolution carries strong language, concrete measures remain uncertain, with any form of military response considered highly unlikely.

Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani called on the international community to abandon “double standards” and impose accountability on Israel.
The meeting comes amid rising regional tensions and growing divisions over how to address the conflict.
