Bandits attack Kaduna village, kill 8, injure 20, abduct residents

Southern Kaduna was thrown into mourning on Sunday after armed bandits launched a brutal attack on Wake village in Kachia Local Government Area, killing at least eight people and leaving more than 20 others injured.
According to security reports, the assailants invaded the community in the night, opening fire on residents and abducting an unspecified number of villagers. The exact number of those kidnapped has yet to be confirmed.
Counter-insurgency analyst Zagozola Makama disclosed that burials for the victims have already begun, while survivors—many with severe injuries—are struggling to access medical treatment.

As of the time of filing this report, the Kaduna State Police Command has not released an official statement on the attack.
