Meet Philipp Navratil, new CEO of Nestlé

Philipp Navratil is a Swiss-Austrian business executive who currently presides as Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé since September 2025.
His appointment marks the culmination of more than two decades of dedication to the company and comes after the dismissal of former CEO Laurent Freixe, who was removed for breaching Nestlé’s Code of Business Conduct.
Background
Born in 1976, Navratil holds dual Swiss and Austrian nationality.
He studied at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he obtained his MBA, laying the foundation for his long-standing career in international business.
Career journey at Nestlé
Navratil joined Nestlé in 2001 as an internal auditor before taking on commercial assignments in Central America.
In 2009, he became Country Manager for Nestlé Honduras, and by 2013, he was leading the coffee and beverage business in Mexico, strengthening the Nescafé brand.
In 2020, he moved to Nestlé’s Coffee Strategic Business Unit, where he oversaw global strategy and innovation for Nescafé and Starbucks.

His leadership path continued upward when he was appointed CEO of Nestlé Nespresso S.A. in July 2024, where he accelerated growth and built strong momentum.
By January 2025, he joined the Nestlé Executive Board, further solidifying his place among the company’s top leaders.
He now leads 277,000 employees in 185 countries and manages a portfolio of over 2,000 brands, with a mission to enhance quality of life through the power of food.
Personal life
Navratil is multilingual, speaking German, Italian, English, Spanish, and French.
He is married and a father of two children, balancing his demanding corporate career with family life.
He is Known for his dynamic presence and inclusive management style, Navratil inspires collaboration across Nestlé’s vast global network.
