Missing okada rider found dead inside well in Ondo

Tragedy struck in Ondo State after the lifeless body of a commercial motorcyclist, Isah Ibrahim, was discovered inside a well at Ore Stadium in Odigbo Local Government Area.
According to the Ondo State Police Command, Ibrahim had been declared missing since August 17, before his remains were eventually found on Thursday.
Police authorities confirmed the incident and said a full investigation has been launched to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.
DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, who confirmed the death of Ibrahim, said an investigation had since commenced.
He added that the state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adebowale Razaq, has ordered a thorough investigation to uncover what led to the death and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

“We urge all parties involved to remain calm as Police will investigate the matter and the law will catch up with perpetrators of the heinous crime,” Ayanlade said.
It was gathered that colleagues of the deceased had searched extensively around Ore before the body was discovered in the well.
A commercial motorcyclist, who preferred not to be named, noted that Ibrahim’s Bajaj motorcycle was still missing, deepening suspicions of foul play.
He said that the death of Ibrahim may be a case of alleged motorcycle snatching, which had become rampant in the area in recent time.
“We urge Police and other security agencies to help search for these criminals, arrest them and find a lasting solution to the insecurity in Ore because our lives are no longer safe,” he said.
