Tragedy as missing AAU final-year student found dead in her apartment

Tragedy has struck the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) community in Ekpoma, Edo State, following the discovery of the lifeless body of a final-year student, simply identified as Blessing, who had been declared missing for five days.
Blessing, a student of the Department of Microbiology, was last seen on campus on Sunday, shortly after participating in an examination. Her sudden disappearance the following day sparked growing concern among classmates and friends.
According to reports, messages allegedly sent from her phone suggested she may have been kidnapped, with her supposed captors demanding a ransom. However, all hopes of her safe return were dashed when police operatives, acting on intelligence, discovered her decomposed body inside her residence.

The incident has plunged the university community into mourning, with students and staff expressing shock over the gruesome turn of events.
Confirming the tragedy, Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu, stated that a full investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding Blessing’s death and bring those responsible to justice.
