NAWOJ mourns ex-President Buhari, hails his legacy of discipline

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a disciplined, patriotic, and globally respected leader.
In a statement signed by the National Chairperson, Hajiya Aishatu Ibrahim, the association paid tribute to the late president’s enduring contributions to national development and unity.
“Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari was a disciplined and patriotic leader whose principles earned him admiration both at home and abroad,” Hajiya Aishatu stated. “His legacy is one of integrity, service, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress.”

NAWOJ acknowledged the impact of Buhari’s leadership, particularly in promoting national cohesion and setting a standard for principled governance. The association also expressed hope that his values would continue to inspire women, youths, and all Nigerians to pursue truth, excellence, and meaningful change in their communities.
The association offered heartfelt prayers for the late president’s family, friends, and loved ones, asking God to grant them strength and comfort during this difficult time.
