Nigerian rapper and internet sensation, Darlington Okoye popularly known as Speed Darlington has sparked controversy following his recent celebrity boxing match with street-hop artist Portable.

According to Speedy, his opponent may have relied on more than just physical strength to win the bout.

The much-anticipated showdown took place on Saturday as part of the Chaos In The Ring series, a celebrity boxing event organized by Game Rush in collaboration with Balmoral Promotions. The fight followed a growing trend of entertainment-focused boxing matches, including notable editions in December 2024 and February 2025’s Friday Fight Night.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Speed Darlington expressed doubts over the fairness of the fight, claiming he suspected Portable of using traditional charms, commonly referred to as juju. He pointed out that his shoulder mysteriously became dislocated during the fight, despite not feeling particularly tired or overworked.

“My shoulder got dislocated, and I wasn’t even tired,” he said in the clip, implying that spiritual interference may have played a role in the outcome.

Portable was declared the winner, and the match has since stirred considerable buzz across social media platforms.

The rivalry between the two artists had intensified ahead of the bout, reportedly stemming from a disagreement over performance fees. According to circulating accounts, Speed Darlington had offered Portable ₦500,000 to perform at an event—an offer the latter allegedly found offensive.
