NNPC announces key appointments to strengthen leadership team

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced the appointment of eight new senior executives, marking a major step in solidifying its leadership structure under the direction of its newly appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and Board of Directors.

The new leadership team will work under the guidance of Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, who now officially takes the helm as GCEO of NNPC Ltd.

The strategic appointments are part of a broader effort to reposition the company for growth, innovation, and energy transition in a rapidly evolving global oil and gas industry.

Among the top appointments are:

Rowland Ewubare as Group Chief Operating Officer

Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Financial Officer

Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President, Gas, Power & New Energy

According to a statement released Friday and signed by NNPC Ltd.’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the other appointments include Udy Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream; Mumuni Dangazau as Executive Vice President, Downstream; Sophia Mbakwe as Executive Vice President, Business Services; and Adesua Dozie as Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer.

“All appointments are with immediate effect,” the statement noted.
