EFCC nabs 12 suspected Yahoo boys in Uyo

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Uyo Zonal Directorate, have apprehended twelve suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo Boys.
According to a brief statement released by the commission on Friday, the arrests were made during a sting operation carried out in strategic locations around Stadium Road, Unity Road, and Ekpri Nsukara in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
“They were arrested following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet crimes.

“Items recovered from them include 20 mobile phones and three laptops.
“They will be charged to court at the conclusion of ongoing investigations,” it said.
