Alexx Ekubo laid to rest in Arochukwu as family, friends pay final tributes

The community of Arochukwu in Abia State came to a standstill as family members, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers gathered to bid a final farewell to Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, who was laid to rest in his hometown on June 18, 2026.
The burial ceremony was filled with emotion, as attendees paid tribute to the late actor through heartfelt speeches, music, dance performances, and rich cultural displays that reflected his heritage.
Born Alex Ikenna Ekubo-Okwaraeke, the actor was widely admired for his talent, charisma and contributions to Nollywood, starring in blockbuster productions including Omo Ghetto: The Saga, The Bling Lagosians and A Sunday Affair.
Beyond the screen, Alexx was recognised for his charitable works and advocacy, earning several honours for his contributions to society.
